Big South Fork Scenic Railway

October 2008 -

The last three Friday and Saturday nights in October (10, 11, 17, 18, 24, & 25) at 7:30 pm. This haunted train is for the big kids, to creep on board for some thrills and shrills with scenes along the track and a ghost story with a special twist. This train is not recommended to for very small children. Round trip time is approximately 2 hours.

Ticket Fares: Adults $10.00 and Children ages 3-12 are $5.00.

The last Friday and Saturday nights in October (24 & 25) at 6:00 pm. For the little tots, dress up and crawl on board to enjoy some fun Halloween music and stories. Upon return each child receives a trick or treat bag to take part in treating with the merchants of Historic Stearns. Round trip time is approximately 1 hour.

Ticket Fares: Adults $10.00 and Children ages 3-12 are $5.00.

Individual reservations are accepted through 3 p.m. prior to date of departure. Payment is due in full upon making reservations. Visa or MasterCard is accepted. All ticket sales are final. There are no cancellations accepted for individual reservations.

Reservations are accepted for groups of 10 or more at the special event admission rate. Standard reservation policies apply – 50% deposit two weeks prior, final count due three days prior to date of reservation, and balance due day of reservation. Cancellations within 5 days prior to date of reservation are subject to loss of deposit.

Unclaimed reservations will be released 10 minutes before the scheduled departure. Sorry, no pets are allowed and no additional discounts apply to any Big South Fork Scenic Railway Special Event.

December 2008 -

Departs the first three Saturdays in December (6, 13, & 20) at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm. Kick off the Holiday Season with a special treat. Sing carols and spread some cheer during this 2 hour round trip. Each child has a chance to visit with Santa for pictures and a special gift.

Ticket Fares: Adults $15.00 and Children ages 3-12 are $7.50.

Departs the first three Friday and Saturday nights in December (5, 6, 12, 13, 19, & 20) at 6:30 pm. Experience the Big South Fork Scenic Railway as you’ve never seen it before. The night sky and a plethora of lights transform the natural formations along gorge into breath-taking site. Round trip time is approximately 2 hours.
